In less than two weeks, Carmen Bélanger-Martin, president of Aero-Marine and its sister company AM Hot Rod Glass, will be joined by Troy Trepanier of Rad Rides by Troy as they display his newest build—the Mariani Streamliner—in Hot Rod Alley at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas (Nov. 4-7).

Commissioned by Dennis Mariani Sr., head of the Mariani family of Winters, Calif., the new streamliner was built to run in the 100th anniversary of the Bonneville Speed Week last August (which was unfortunately canceled due to weather). The vehicle, which includes a custom acrylic windshield based on Aero-Marine’s quarter canopy design, is sure to be one of SEMA’s biggest attractions and can only be seen in the AM Hot Rod Glass booth.
Bélanger-Martin expects Mariani Sr. and his two sons, Mark and Dennis Jr., to join Trepanier at the booth throughout the popular show. Along with displaying the streamliner and other examples of the company’s acrylic windshield line, AM Hot Rod Glass will feature an autograph session at the booth from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon with Trepanier, Lowrider Magazine Editor Joe Ray and Dave Kindig and the Kindig-it Design crew.

“Troy sent me the specs for the canopy and after a few design reviews with the Rad Rides team, they were able to finalize their design and we went to work reconfiguring our in-house fabrication process,” said Bélanger-Martin, who took her first trip to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah when Mariani Sr. tested the streamliner last month. “This was not an easy project, but with Troy they never are; he pushes us beyond what ‘we think’ our capabilities are with his motivating words—failure is not an option. AM Hot Rod Glass achieved success with perfect optics and clarity with a true Rad Rides by Troy custom design canopy/windshield.”
Bélanger-Martin, who added that the canopy is lightweight and has 71-percent light transmission with a slight tint, has been working on SEMA show particulars for several months and can’t wait to show off the Mariani Streamliner and various other AM Hot Rod Glass projects.
