Building an extensive line of high-performance V-bottoms that garnered one of the most loyal followings in the high-performance powerboating world, Active Thunder Boats of Pompano Beach, Fla., is for sale by owner Patrick Haughey and offered through Robert Dolan of Dolan Sales, Inc. According to Dolan, he received the listing for the company sale—currently on the bizbuysell.com website—a little more than a week ago.

The price for the company, which was founded in 1994, includes all molds and tooling for models with patented hulls from 22 to 37 feet long, is listed at $499,900.

According to the listing, “support and training” for the new owner will be provided by Haughey for 24 months.

Haughey could not be reached for comment when this story went live.

“He will help the new owner—Active Thunder is his baby,” said Dolan. “He has a successful auto body shop and he just doesn’t have enough time for the boat company, but he loves it and wants it to get into good hands. And he’s willing to help in all kinds of ways for the right owner.”
